Taste of Sewing a Fold Flat Box

Join in a fun sewing class where we create fabric boxes that stand up on their own but can also be folded flat. IInstructor Cindy Wallace will teach you new sewing/construction techniques, the differences between interfacings and fusible webbing and when to use them (or a combo of them!), how to alter pattern sizes, and create at least one finished collapsible box during class. Students will receive detailed handouts/patterns. Sample sizes/boxes will be on hand to study. Students will pay instructor $5 to cover interfacings/fusibles they will use in class. 11 AM to 3 PM 2nd floor, Oatland Island, large classroom. Six student limit. Several nonmember spaces available.
