October 2: The Afters- poems we love and writing poems to respond
November 13: The ekphrastic poem, telling a story and using art to prompt it
December 11: Ode to Ode, the simple ode and the not so simple
January 8: Mythology, and Monsters, taking myth to make metaphors and playing with relocation
February 5: Place: how specific details geolocate your poem and that’s a good thing!
March 5: The sonnet, the love poem, and romantic pleas
April 2: The haunted Pantoum
May 7: Sestinas and villanelles- working with form to create patterns and structure
